Rated 4 out of 5 by G Pop from Excellent size for a 22LR pistol I am pleased with the Caldwell Matrix shooting rest I purchased because it is perfect for sighting in my 22 victory with my Vortex red dot sight which is mounted on the bar atop the chamber. The Caldwell Matrix shooting rest would not be good or effective for sighting in a pistol with a laser sight on the grip due to being mounted below the barrel level.

Sighting in my rifles have always been somewhat of a challenge because of the unsteadiness one experiences while trying to keep still. I finally decided to buy a rest to make sighting in and cleaning my rifles a breeze and I'm glad I chose this one. The rest is made of a hard plastic and feels very durable. If I could change anything, I would make the extension just a little longer, replace the hard plastic where the gun sits itself with some sort of cloth and lastly I would add in a a peice on the end to reduce recoil. They make rests with these features but they are a little more expensive. It works great for what I need and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking a nice rest without having to go overboard on payment.

Lightweight and easy to transport. The tightening of the forward rest adjustment is a little more tedious than I would like. It does stay secure when tightened though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Malibu70 from Double Service Gun Rest For Rifle and Pistol Easy assembly and stable on shooting bench. Just remove the rear (rifle butt) section, to use pistol rest only. The plastic parts are quality plastic and should last a few years. Great for tweaking in a rifle scope or a pistol laser. Go get one!
